Moved by the Water

Oil on canvas, 20 x 30”, 2022

This past summer, I joined @itssuchaniceday & @ecosuperior to clean up the shoreline of Lake Superior in Rossport, Ontario. As we paddled the voyageur canoe, we enjoyed the experience of riding the smooth waves while being bathed in sunlight. Oh how I miss summer!

While I dream of longer, warmer days ahead, I can’t help but remember the feeling of those waves. It’s incredible to be connected to the water; its strength and beauty have a way of speaking to something deep inside us.

Until next summer, I will be exploring those depths on my canvases, patiently waiting for another chance to ride the waves. 🌊
